With Carina well placed for all night imaging from my backyard this past month, I'd been planning to do a min 4 panel mosaic at the native FL of my APM130 LZOS (780mm) with a min depth of 12hours per panel... well weather here in Brisbane Australia (now officially worst rain etc and clouds in 50 years with massive flooding to show for it) has conspired against me.

After a couple of weeks grabbing what I can I have two panels only of a little over 13 or so hours each ~26.5 hours total. Thought I might be able to shortcut a bit using an earlier heavily overlapping central panel at 90 deg to the two here but getting poor star alignment in APP...turns out that panel was with my 0.75x reducer not the straight flat I used here which no doubt is the issue.

Anyway, for now here's my two panel mosaic as it stands from Keyhole to the Gabriela Mistral area. I hope (weather and my patience depending) to add to it and later post a 4 panel or even 6 panel version, but this will have to do for now :-)

Stacked in APP as separate channels (SHO) and panels. I then ran again these integrations as lights in APP to combine into mosaic SHO layers saved separately. I combined these as RGB in APP and ran some basic LP and light Star reduction and saved as TIF. The unstretched SHO channels I imported into Startools and combined and processed and then finalised in PS...I add in the APP TIF at that stage to do some subtle star adjustments.

Submitted The date and time when you submitted this image for IOTD/TP consideration.	...
Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
